“Virginia Heritage Tour”: March 23-29, 2025
If you're a cyclist who also loves learning about America’s colonial history, then this is a perfect bicycle vacation for you! With its rich history and beautiful landscapes, Virginia offers plenty of opportunities to learn more about our past.
Embark on a bicycle tour through Colonial Williamsburg, through the Yorktown Battlefields, Jamestown Island, on sections of the Colonial Parkway and our world-renowned Virginia Capital Trail. Not only will riders have the opportunity to visit well-known historic sites, but we will also visit Bacon's Castle and Chippokes Plantation which are lesser-known historic gems. The tour will take us through the picturesque landscapes and past grand Colonial-era plantations that offer a glimpse into our nation's past. And to top it all off, we will even get to hop on a ferry and cross the James River, adding a unique element to this already unforgettable journey. Overall, this six-day bicycle tour promises to be an enriching and immersive adventure for anyone with an appreciation for history and nature.
